Join Out in Tech PDX and Coinbase on Thursday, October 10th for a night of conversation with cutting-edge leaders who happen to be womxn.


Whats it like to be leading a technology company in 2019? What’s the next exciting field in technology? What are the most innovative projects and companies out there right now?


Whether you are interested in technology, leading your own company, or just looking to connect with the LGBTQ+ tech community, this event is for you.

Ashley Todd manages all things IT at Act-On Software. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Ashley has been living in Portland, OR for over 10 years and now considers it home. Outside of technology, Ashley enjoys riding bicycles, eating cheeseburgers, and playing/coaching/watching ice hockey.




DAMION MOYER

Damion Moyer is an Engineering Manager at Zapproved, where they work to create teams that are rooted in authentic and vulnerable communication, and are focused on community, collaboration, and craftspersonship. They spent 20 years as a Software Engineer and Team Lead, most recently falling in love with the MERN stack. Damion became enamored with leadership and mentorship during their 10-year stint as an instructor and trainer with the Team Oregon Motorcycle Safety Program, and is thrilled to be able to combine that with their technical background as a manager. Damion grew up in the East Bay, and has lived in Portland for 35 years. Damion is a trans-feminine, non-binary person, and their pronouns are they and them. They still have 2 baby teeth, and their cat’s name is “Ser Henry Francis Lyle, The First Of His Name.”

Gail Fredericks expertise includes two decades of software development and architecture leadershipinside venture-backed startups and Fortune 500s. She is currently VP of Mobile and DeveloperEcosystem at eBay, and GM of eBays Portland office. As eBays mobile technology leader, Gail and hermobile architects obsess about reliability and performance of eBay apps across their global user base. Asthe leader of the eBay Developers Program, Gail is hyper-focused on making eBay integration easier forthird-party developers. She delivered and continues to expand a new generation of buying and sellingAPIs that enable smoother, more seamless buying and selling experiences for consumers andbusinesses. In prior roles at eBay, Gail was chartered with streamlining the companys web servicesportfolio through design patterns and architectural standards, focused on multi-screen applications andmobility. Before her time at eBay, Gail served as a director for Intels Open Source Technology Center,the heart of Linux at Intel. Before Intel, Gail held technology leadership roles at several Seattle start-ups.In 2005, she was the first engineering hire at Medio Systems, a mobile search and analytics start-up thatwas acquired by Nokia and subsequently HERE Technologies. Gail has been writing mobile apps since thevery first app-enabled Nokia mobile phones. Her treatise on standards-based mobile web developmententitled Beginning Smartphone Web Development was published by Apress in December 2009. Gailholds bachelor and masters degrees in Computer Science from The University of Michigan and TheUniversity of Washington, respectively. When not at work, Gail is a mother to school-age twins and callsPortland, Oregon home. She is an avid hiker and kayaker, especially around the lakes and rivers of ruralcentral Oregon.

On a mission to make tech more inclusive. Formerly a code school instructor, now managing community strategy at Netlify, a cutting edge startup, they are invested in working both with tech and community. A queer, non-binary, self-taught technologist, they are intrigued by the intersections between tech and other fields of study. Perry enjoys emceeing conferences and events, reading, art, music, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.

1. Due to Coinbase’s security requirements, guests have to RSVP via Eventbrite. If you do not RSVP, we will not be able to provide access to the venue. Absolutely no exceptions – even in the event of technical or operational failure on behalf of Out in Tech – can be made to this policy.


2. Upon arrival at the event location, you’ll be checking in at the lobby with the Coinbase team before heading up to the space.


3. Please know that an RSVP does not guarantee entrance. To ensure entrance we recommend arriving when the doors open at 5:30 pm. If we reach capacity we, unfortunately, may be required to turn people away.
