Out in Tech | Leadership Training Institute 2019

Out in Tech Leader, we’re so looking forward to welcoming you to our first-ever Leadership Training Institute. This retreat will bring everyone together for a weekend of learning, planning, networking, and kiki-ing. 

Cost?
Our favorite price — $Free.99!  We ask that you get yourself to NYC, and find somewhere to stay for the wknd (more on that below).

When? 
It depends!

Chapter/Committee Heads:
Friday 10a-5p, PLUS…

Chapter/Committee Volunteers:
Friday 5-8 pm Happy Hour (totes optional)
Saturday 10a – 5p (plus a night out in the West Village)
Sunday 10a – 2p

Where?
Friday (Chapter/Cmte Heads): Datadog, 620 8th Ave (NYTimes bldg), 45th Floor
Saturday: PayPal, 117 Barrow Street (West Village)
Sunday: Slack, 436 Lafayette Street (NoHo, near NYU)

Food?
Yep! Our hosts will cover breakfast and lunch each day, as well as dinner on Saturday.

What about travel and lodging? 
If you’re coming from out of town (yay!) and you’re looking for a hotel, we’ve negotiated a special block of rooms with a discount at The Freehand in Flatiron (very central).  Approx $215/night + taxes.

What are we going to talk about? 
A full agenda will be released shortly, but you can expect: 
1) Out in Tech 101 — mission, vision, values, structure, impact
2) Diversity, inclusion, and belonging — what you can do
3) Planning for scale, and scaling our plans (growth!)
4) Meet the Out in Tech global volunteer force. Lots of networking time!

What if I can only attend one day or another? 
*Crickets*  Um.  Well.  Just tell us when you register.  We won’t shade you too hard.
(Okay, no shade, but you’ll forever be on the outside of our inside jokes).

Deadline to register?
ASAP (we need to know how many mouths to feed and chairs to unfold)! 
But the reaaaaal deadline is Friday, February 15.
