Out in Tech New York | Making Pride @ Microsoft

June 22, 2017 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Art and technology have been critical components of the LGBTQ+ rights movement, from Keith Haring’s artwork on the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s to the 2010 web-based It Gets Better project.

In an era where two steps forward for equality are often met with one step back, what role have artists and technologists played over the years to engage, organize and incite social change? What synergies currently exist between art and LGBTQ+ equality, and how can new technologies such as 3D printers or even drones provide new possibilities for creators to influence culture?

Join us on June 22 for a panel discussion on art, activism and technology featuring three established digital artists striving to drive society forward through their work.

The panel will be hosted at Microsoft’s flagship store on Fifth Ave.
